Cripps Harries Hall

The Cripps Harries Hall academies team helps schools through the academy establishment process from start to finish and then continues to work in partnership with the new academy not only providing continuing advice but becoming part of its wider support network. 

Helping you make the decision 

• Sharing experiences and providing guidance to the management team and governors considering conversion at a practical level, providing an outline of the advantages and disadvantages
• Advising on the legal status of academies and how the school will function following conversion
• Advising on the consultation process and how it should be managed

 Once the decision has been made 

• Assisting in the preparation of the necessary proposals for the Secretary of State to support the conversion
• Assisting calculating the budget and funding requirements
• Co-ordinating the conversion project with the DfE appointed representative
• Undertaking the incorporation of the academy trust
• Transferring all land and property to the academy trust
• Negotiating assignment of the school's existing contracts
• Managing the process of transferring all employees in accordance with TUPE
• Providing all necessary advice and support to facilitate the application
• On-going guidance and assistance on a wide range of issues that the academy will encounter in its new status as a charity
