Cripps Harries Hall

Trust management

Management of trusts by specialist professionals is the best way to ensure that charity or private trustees' obligations to beneficiaries and HMRC are met fully.

What we do

We undertake all aspects of trust management, financial and legal. Specialist software enables us to produce trust accounts and related income and capital gains tax returns efficiently. We make sure deadlines are met.

Where trust investments include funds managed by investment advisers we liaise with them to ensure that the trust records are kept up to date; we also monitor long term investment performance. Some investment managers have compatible systems that allow us to access portfolio information electronically and download it to our accounting software, improving efficiency.

We take account of tax rules and changes and give appropriate advice to trustees.

Other professionals are welcome to use our trust management services to support their own clients. We can provide this outsourcing support in a variety of formats.

Our clients

Our clients include both charitable and private trusts.

Why Cripps Harries Hall?

We have a team of experienced people who only manage trusts. Each of them has an allocated portfolio of clients. Each trust is also supervised by a partner who has an overview of all activities being undertaken for that trust.

We have significant critical mass with about 400 trusts under management. As solicitors we are able to handle both the legal and the financial aspects of trust management, which is cost-effective.

We are also appointed as a professional trustee, to provide independence and long term stability, with or without co-trustees.
