Cripps Harries Hall

Trust creation

Trusts were invented centuries ago but still have many uses, particularly as an effective and flexible way of passing assets down through generations.

Creating a trust can provide significant advantages to those who benefit under it. Care is needed to choose the right sort of trust and to word it in such a way that it carries out your wishes and is flexible enough to accommodate change.

What we do

We guide you through the options and explain the practical and tax implications of creating the different types of trust. You benefit from our considerable experience of managing trusts.

We set up trusts to maximise the benefit of life policy proceeds, or of lump sum death benefits under private or company pensions.

If you need a professional trustee, you can use Cripps Trust Corporation (CTC) which we set up to provide executorship and trustee services.  Using CTC provides continuity, independence and professional administration, and can avoid family arguments.

We deal with all formalities - such as checking documents, transferring assets into the trust, and registering the trust where required. We can also deal with tax returns and compliance with legal requirements.

If the best option is the creation of an offshore trust we use our contacts to arrange this for you.

Our clients

Our clients include business families, entrepreneurs, senior lawyers and accountants, farmers and senior managers.
