Cripps Harries Hall

Property

Whether you are buying a home, have a planning issue, or wish to extend your lease, the support of a property specialist is essential.

What we do

Residential conveyancing

Buying or selling property is not just about filling in forms. Conveyancing can involve complicated issues. We know London, Kent and Sussex well, but deal with property all over the country.

Agriculture and rural estates

We have particular expertise in dealing with farms and rural estates and offer a full range of services tailored to the agricultural community. Not just the land, but all aspects of a farming business.

Property law specialists

We have a large commercial property practice so we can call on the help of specialists in planning, development, construction, tax and - should you need it - property dispute resolution.

Living together?

If two or more of you are thinking of buying property together it would be wise to make sure that you each get your share of the home when it is sold. Taking some simple steps now can save a lot of heartache later.

Lease extensions and enfranchisement

If you own a flat its value will go down as the lease runs out. You can reverse this by claiming an extension to your lease. We have expertise in this area.

Our clients

We welcome all enquiries. We have significant experience representing clients with high value properties and complex conveyancing issues.

Why Cripps Harries Hall?

We give you our personal attention and you deal with a qualified lawyer throughout the transaction.

+ Planning law - Draft National Planning Policy Framework - Is this the return to planning by appeal? - August 2011
The draft National Planning Policy Framework (draft NPPF) has been described as the most important planning document since the Town and Country Planning Act 1947. This may be putting it too highly but it will certainly be a very important planning document. The draft NPPF was published on 25 July and is already attracting a great deal of comment during its 12 week consultation period which ends on 17 October.

+ Private Lives issue 13 - Autumn/Winter 2009
The first hints of winter frosts are felt in Tunbridge Wells as this edition of Private Lives goes to print. Summer in Devon seems distant a memory now: at Paignton Zoo the keepers are busy with animals indoors and at Salcombe Dairy the ice cream delivery bicycle is garaged until the spring. Increasing unemployment affects clients at all levels and Roger Byard, back from his sabbatical, is giving strategic advice although there is a sense the worst may be behind us.

+ Private Lives issue 12 - Spring 2009
These are difficult times for everyone. The news is full of stories of redundancies, restructurings and businesses collapsing. But it doesn't all have to be negative; in every downturn there is an upside that can work to your advantage. In this issue, we take a look at some of the opportunities available. If you are a leaseholder, this is an excellent time to make an offer for the purchase of the freehold. Freehold values are calculated based on the value of the property;so if the property has dropped in value, so will the price of the freehold.
