Charities & Not-For-Profit Organisations

Charities & Not-For Profit Organisations - overview

Last year, the Government passed the Charities Act 2006. Possibly the most significant piece of charity legislation for four centuries, it requires all charities to prove that they benefit the public. On top of this, the Charity Commission has promised to use the changes introduced by the act to reduce the burden of red tape on charities by a quarter over the next four years.

While it is welcome news that attention is being focused on simplifying charity law and administration, the new legislation, together with the recent company law reforms, has resulted in a bewildering array of changes for charity trustees.

We can help to guide you through these changes, providing training and updates for your trustees and executives to make sure that they are fully up to date.
